News That Stays News

Isn't really news at all,
and if "no news is good news"
is old news,
then The Daily Muse
is holding back the Media
like a sneeze,
like holding your nose
with multiple hankies,
like an information diet
keeping fact-grams at bay, 
like the USDA
recommended daily 
disallowance for
fact-free TV,
it's up there with folic acid.
The latest study shows
the tendency of poetry
to curl your toes.
